LA Clippers' Patrick Beverley has been very vocal recently. After saying that his team is better than the Lakers a couple of days ago, the defensive-minded guard is now claiming that he was able to shut down Oklahoma City Thunder's Paul George.

The Clippers won 118-110 against OKC last Friday, and George was held to 15 points on 5-16 shooting, including 3-9 from 3. He was guarded by Beverly for the majority of the game.

However, PG doesn't really think too much about Beverley's trash talking on social media, and it looks like the MVP candidate has already moved on from his poor performance against the Clips.

To be fair, Paul George has been struggling to shoot the ball as of late. Before his shooting slump against the Clips, he scored 25 points, but shot 8-25 in a loss against the Minnesota Timberwolves last Wednesday. He then shot 7-23 for 32 points against the Portland Trail Blazers last Friday which OKC won.

George's shooting struggles can be attributed to the shoulder injury he's been dealing with for almost a week now.

Still, there's likely no bad blood between him and Beverley. This Twitter exchange is just about two competitive guys having some fun clapping back at each other on social media.

Both the Thunder and Clippers are headed into the playoffs, and depending on where they end up in the standings, there's a small chance that fans could see both teams face each other in the first round.

OKC is currently fourth, while the Clips are seventh in the Western Conference standings. Each team has at least 17 games left.
