Former NBA Coach of the Year George Karl called out DeMarcus Cousins on Friday by calling him the player he hated the most. Karl coached Cousins for two years on the Sacramento Kings.

Cousins, who probably saw the tweet since it was all over NBA Twitter on Friday, had a cryptic new tweet in the wake of the Karl incident.

DeMarcus Cousins and George Karl didn't like each other on the Kings. The two will likely never be friends, especially after Cousins called Karl the worst coach he's ever had.

Karl hasn't landed a job in the NBA since getting fired by the Kings. Cousins, meanwhile, is currently an unrestricted free agent. He began the 2019-20 season on the Los Angeles Lakers, but didn't play a single game after tearing his ACL during a pick-up game in Las Vegas during the summer of 2019 shortly after signing with the Lakers.

It's going to be interesting to see if an NBA team signs Cousins this offseason. He'd had a lot of bad luck injury-wise since the Kings traded him to the New Orleans Pelicans in 2017. Boogie has torn his Achilles, a quad tendon and his ACL.

Since entering the NBA in 2010, Cousins has compiled averages of 21.2 points, 10.9 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game with the Kings, Pelicans and Golden State Warriors. The NBA community is rooting for the four-time All-Star to have a big comeback.
