During Game 2 of the first-round duel between the Los Angeles Lakers and Portland Trail Blazers, some juicy action was also brewing. On Twitter, ex-NBA head coach George Karl savagely slammed Mark Jackson during the latter's comments about his defensive approach.

George Karl, who boasts of almost four decades of coaching experience in the NBA, questioned Jackson's accomplishments (or lack thereof) during his three-year stint with the Golden State Warriors.

The last sentence from George Karl is the most savage one. After all, right after Jackson left the Warriors in 2014, Steve Kerr basically transformed the team into a dynasty. Though Kerr added critical pieces such as Andre Iguodala, the team already had the core of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green in the fold. Warriors fans and basketball critics are aware of this. And they have continued to berate Jackson for it.

There are some, however, who still credit Jackson, especially his developmental approach. For this minority, they believe it was an important step for the organization to have a coach like Jackson who emphasized player development above everything.

But George Karl isn't having any of it. Jackson seems to have forgotten the hefty resume of the 69-year-old former head coach.

In almost 40 years along the sidelines, George Karl has led multiple teams to the postseason. His greatest accomplishment was reaching the NBA Finals in 1996. Unfortunately, they lost to the Michael Jordan-led Chicago Bulls.

In terms of player development, George Karl coached several greats such as Gary Payton (who won Defensive Player of the Year in 1996), Shawn Kemp, Ray Allen, Carmelo Anthony, and others.
