LeBron James' son, Bronny, is still at least four years away from making it to the NBA, but former All-Star Gilbert Arenas is already out here saying that he has the potential to be as good as his father.

Arenas, who has been working out with Bronny and other NBA players' children, stated that the 14-year-old high school freshman could challenge LeBron's numbers once he reaches his prime, per Bleacher Report's Leo Sepkowitz.

“The only person that's gonna challenge LeBron's stats is the next one coming,” Arenas said. “He's a super freak.”

Once Bronny makes his way into the NBA, there will be an immense amount of pressure for him to perform at an elite level right from the get-go. As unfair as it may sound, the narrative that will most likely be associated with his name throughout his entire career is that he should be equal, or even better, than LeBron when everything is said and done.

If the Los Angeles Lakers superstar has been hated by some fans despite being one of the best players of all time, imagine what they would say to Bronny if he fails to meet their ridiculous expectations.

Then again, Bronny has Arenas' vote of confidence. If the Washington Wizards great believes that the high school star can be as good as his dad, then he might just be — although we'll have to wait for a fairly long time to see how his career will eventually turn out.

So far, Bronny has been showing serious potential but he's obviously a work in progress, and that's where guys like Arenas and, of course, LeBron come in. They will do everything they can to make sure that he becomes the best version of himself once he makes his debut in the NBA.
