This offseason has seen numerous players change addresses and drama-filled trades happen at the most opportune times. Despite all these, one mystery that has yet to be solved is this – why has no NBA team signed spitfire scorer Jamal Crawford to a deal?

Admittedly, the three-time NBA Sixth Man of the Year is no longer a spring chicken at 38 years of age, yet he has still showcased an ability to light teams up in a hurry. Last season, Crawford averaged 10.7 points, 1.2 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.3 threes made on 20.7 minutes per game for the Minnesota Timberwolves. He may have lost a step or two, but his scoring can still come in handy for an aspiring championship contender.

While the Los Angeles Lakers, Golden State Warriors, and Philadelphia 76ers have reportedly shown interest in signing the 18-year veteran, no deal has been struck and as training camp is set to begin soon, he may have to wait a bit longer.

Still, Crawford himself doesn’t seem too worried as he even reminded a fan on Twitter to be patient with this process.

Crawford’s accomplishments indeed speak for itself and he will surely come to terms with a team before the season begins. After all, it is far better to wait for an enticing deal than to sell yourself short and regret it after. It is in these times, though, that patience is really needed.

Jamal, after all, has been in the league long enough to know how this system works. As fans, we can only hope that this comes sooner rather than later so Crawford can once again amaze us with his yoyo-like handles.
