There's a reason Kevin Durant, Joel Embiid, Nikola Jokic, Zach LaVine and Kyrie Irving are All-Stars. They clearly dominated the first half of the 2020-21 NBA season, and they did it in such efficient fashion.

In fact, according to ESPN Stats & Info, the five All-Stars are the only players averaging at least 27 points on 50-45-80 (field foal/3-point/free-throw) shooting splits. What's more amazing is the fact that before the campaign, there have been only five instances that an NBA player recorded such stat line in a season.

Insane!

Rightfully so, Kevin Durant, Joel Embiid, Nikola Jokic, Zach LaVine and Kyrie Irving will be representing their respective NBA teams in the All-Star Game in Atlanta on Sunday. While KD will be absent due to injury, he performed his duties as captain and picked the lineup that will play for Team Durant in the annual showdown.

While Embiid, Jokic and Irving are all experienced All-Stars, it will actually be the first time of LaVine to participate in the competition. While a case could be made that he has been snubbed from the event for a long time, he has truly proven this 2020-21 that he is a legitimate star that not even his detractors can doubt his credentials.

While the Bulls continue to struggle a bit, having a 16-18 record heading to the break, they are still competing pretty well, thanks in large part to LaVine's scoring exploits.
