The Los Angeles Lakers-Los Angeles Clippers game came down to the wire and was easily the best of the Christmas Day games.

Basketball fans across the world were tuned into the game, as the Lakers vs. Clippers game was the second-most watched Christmas primetime game ever, per Tim Reynolds of the Associated Press:

The ratings for this game were down from LeBron's Christmas game against the Golden State Warriors last season during this same time slot, and the full slate was down as a whole, but this year's showdown still did a pretty solid number.

The Lakers and Clippers could very well meet in the Western Conference Finals. The Clippers have won both games against the Lakers so far this season.

A game which features LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Kawhi Leonard and Paul George is going to be heavily viewed. The fact that it was the Battle for LA and Christmas just made this game even more epic, and it lived up to the billing.

The Boston Celtics blew out the Toronto Raptors in the first Christmas game. The Philadelphia 76ers easily defeated the Milwaukee Bucks in the second contest. The Golden State Warriors shocked the world by upsetting the Houston Rockets. That was when the fun began, as after the Dubs defeated the Rockets, the Lakers-Clippers game and New Orleans Pelicans versus Denver Nuggets contest were exciting to watch.

Basketball fans are hoping the Lakers and Clippers meet in the Western Conference Finals. It would be neat to watch LeBron and Davis go up against Leonard and George in a seven-game series.
