Former NBA Sixth Man of the Year Lamar Odom had a bizarre and sad downfall, but the fact that he is still standing today is even more astonishing.

The two-time world champion recently sat down (in ice) with Kevin Hart during the latter's YouTube show “Cold as Balls” and revealed that he had 12 strokes and six heart attacks while he was comatose back in 2015.

Hart: Is Lamar Odom fully over the addiction side?

Odom: Yes.

Hart: How does that make you feel?

Odom: Great, bro. Every day I’m alive.

Hart: Every day.

Odom: It’s a good day to be alive, considering the alternative.

Hart: 100 percent. Do you now realize how close to death you were?

Odom: Yeah, all my doctors that see me say I’m a walking miracle. I had 12 strokes and six heart attacks when I was in a coma.

The discussion can be seen here at around the 8:00 mark:

It seems like everything's better since that 2015 mishap when Odom fought for his life after collapsing in a Nevada brothel due to a drug overdose. But with Odom revealing the many strokes and heart attacks that he suffered, it's really mind-boggling that he is still alive and well today.

The former Los Angeles Lakers forward was a key piece during the team's two successful title runs. But his career came spiraling downward when the Lakers traded him to the Mavericks in 2011. Odom never recovered in terms of his playing career in the NBA.

The 6-foot-10 combo forward had career averages of 13.3 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 3.7 assists before hanging up the sneakers in 2013.
