With the 2020 WNBA season officially underway, no less than Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James showed his full support for the league by rocking WNBA merch on Saturday. James is not the only one who joined in on this initiative, with a fair amount of other NBA players also opting to show their full backing for their female counterparts.

For his part, LeBron was seen entering the practice facility with an orange WNBA hoodie on:

A number of other stars such as Chris Paul, James Harden, Russell Westbrook, and CJ McCollum also sported the WNBA hoodie, while others like Stephen Curry sent their shoutout to the league via Twitter:

Similar to the NBA, the WNBA has also set up a bubble in Florida (separate from that of the NBA) to be able to play out the season. Their new campaign tipped off on Saturday with a three-game slate. The Seattle Storm opened things up with a 87-71 victory over the New York Liberty. This was followed by the Los Angeles Sparks securing a 99-76 win over the Phoenix Mercury. The third game of the day featured the Washington Mystics blowing out the Indiana Fever, 101-76.

In a few days, the NBA will also be tipping off. The first set of games for the season restart are scheduled for July 30, which will host an exciting double-header. The New Orleans Pelicans open up with a matchup against the Utah Jazz, which will be followed by the Battle of Los Angeles, featuring two of the top teams in the league today in the Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers.
