A grainy image has been pulled from the depths of the internet, featuring a young LeBron James competing against an aging Michael Jordan in an early-2000s scrimmage. NBA fans are thrilled.
James, now 35 years of age, was still in high school at the time. Jordan, on the other hand, was in the twilight of his career.
Someone find the footage of this scrimmage with LeBron and MJ. pic.twitter.com/oapWDVWw0q

It's not exactly clear how this scrimmage of NBA titans played out, as there is no video footage (not that we know of, at least). Perhaps the footage is buried in a vault somewhere.
Though he was somewhere in the neighborhood of 40, His Airness would've likely been a favorite. However, there were several players in the league at that time who already knew that the 16-year-old LeBron was going to be a superstar. In fact, former Lakers forward Metta World Peace (or Ron Artest, if you like) once noted that James was embarrassing some of the NBA's best players as a sophomore.
“He was cooking everyone,” Artest said of a game he once played with a young James. “No one could guard him. It was LeBron James. I'm like, ‘I'm getting embarrassed. He's embarrassing us.'”
Nothing more satisfying than Ron Artest telling us how LeBron was cooking they asses as a sophomore in hs @KingJames pic.twitter.com/2ToV2Vjnn1

James, now in his 17th season of NBA service, is showing little to no signs of regression. In fact, for the first time his his career, the Akron native has a shot at leading the NBA in assists — a remarkable feat, especially when considering the fact that he plays the small forward position in most cases.
So… who would you pick in this scenario? Would a 40-year-old MJ take it to LeBron, or would the young King prove his mettle?
