Like basketball diehards, NBA players — both current and retired — were tuned in to the double-overtime thriller between the Toronto Raptors and the Boston Celtics in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Semis. Like us, they couldn't contain their excitement.
Kevin Love of the Cleveland Cavaliers and Chris Paul of the Oklahoma City Thunder called it the best game of the NBA bubble so far.
Instant classic. Best game of the bubble and it forces a game 7.

Tyson Chandler of the Houston Rockets — who's resting up before the resumption of their series with the Los Angeles Lakers — gave props to both teams for a great game.

Goran Dragic of the Miami Heat gave Kyle Lowry a shoutout for his critical shot in double-overtime.

Former NBA players Paul Pierce and Channing Frye also gave Lowry his dues. Frye also slammed critics who have underestimated Lowry. Pierce, too, seemed to hit back on the critics who have downplayed the Raptors' chances to repeat this year.
🤦🏾♂️Toronto showing why they were Champs wow Props to Kyle Lowry heart of a champ Boston gonna have to earn this 👋👋

Y’all better stop talking about Kyle Lowry like he’s not a winner!!!!! pic.twitter.com/lS0SKkGVY5

DeMar DeRozan of the San Antonio Spurs gave his former teammate a shoutout as well.

And finally, Dwyane Wade expressed his disbelief at that amazing shot by Lowry.

With a Raptors win, the NBA Eastern Conference Semifinals will go to a do-or-die Game 7. It's one of the best series thus far this year's postseason. Note that the Raptors were down 2-0 at one point. But then, OG Anunoby's Game 3 game-winner with 0.5 seconds left seemed to give the Raptors a much-needed confidence boost.
Game 7 between the Raptors and the Celtics will be on Thursday. Will the Raptors advance to the Eastern Conference Finals to keep their repeat dreams alive? Or will the Celtics be the ones to face the Miami Heat?
