NBA fans generally don't like superteams. This has been a known fact and a recent survey served as validation for the same. This is also the exact reason why the Brooklyn Nets and the Los Angeles Lakers have emerged as the two most hated teams in all of America.

On a recent survey posted on Twitter, it was made abundantly clear that fans from around the nation just don't like the Nets or the Lakers (h/t ClutchPoints on Twitter):

The Lakers edged out the Nets in this survey and this isn't surprising at all. In spite of the fact that LeBron James is one of the greatest players of all time, he still has a myriad of haters. Perhaps it is actually because of his greatness that he's garnered more than a few naysayers through the years. The fact that he teamed up with a second superstar in Anthony Davis only made matters worse for the haters. Moreover, the Lakers are the defending champs, and as is the case with any sort of competition, the fans always adore the underdog (and loath the favorites, particularly in this case).

The same can be said of the Nets who themselves formed the superteam of superteams down in Brooklyn. As if the duo of Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving wasn't enough, they also added former MVP and scoring champion James Harden to the mix. Let's not forget that they also brought in Blake Griffin and LaMarcus Aldridge (who was forced to retire abruptly due to heart condition). The Nets are the odds on favorite to bag this year's title and as a result, they've managed to secure the second spot in America's list of most hated teams, second only to the Lakers.

As they always say, haters gotta hate.
