Retired NBA small forward Stephen Jackson is one of the many faces leading the call for justice for George Floyd, an African-American man killed while in police custody with Minneapolis law enforcement on Memorial Day.

On Friday, the 42-year-old Houston native, Jackson, shared a video on social media condemning President Donald Trump, promising the 45th president of the United States that he will only be a one-term commander-in-chief.

“Hey, this message is for Donald Trump. This message is for you,” Jackson said in a video posted on Instagram, via Bleacher Report. “Do not speak on my brother's name. I'm making you a promise, you will not be in the White House come November. You will not be reelected, I'm telling you now. … So, we coming to get you out the White House, Donald Trump. Don't speak on my brother's name. That damn sure wasn't a compliment. Just know, the 18 countries and 50 states that protested, we're coming to get you out the White House. Stay tuned.”

President Trump cited the deceased Floyd while speaking to the press on Friday; when bragging about the number of jobs added to the U.S. last month, officially reported by the government on the same day, the president reference Floyd “looking down” from heaven and approving. The comments certainly got Stephen Jackson's attention, who found it absolutely offensive and out of bounds.

Jackson, a friend of Floyd's from the Houston area, has led the charge in demanding justice for the latest victim of police brutality, which has also seen nationwide protests in every major city and every state for Floyd and other people of color who were brutalized. The officer in Floyd's case has since been charged with second-degree murder in pending litigation.
