It is without question that 10-time All-Star Carmelo Anthony is no longer the dominant player he once was. However, more than a few folks believe the 35-year-old still has more than enough left in the tank to warrant a new deal in the NBA.

One such man is basketball Hall of Famer Steve Nash, who recently claimed he believes Melo is himself a Hall of Fame-caliber player and that he certainly deserves another shot in the league:

After being waived by the Chicago Bulls in February (he didn't play with the Bulls following a trade from the Houston Rockets), Carmelo Anthony has yet to sign with a new team. There have been many reports linking him to a potential contender such as the Los Angeles Lakers and Brooklyn Nets, but to date, there has been no official offer on the table for the former third overall pick.

Unfortunately for Melo, he has gained a reputation of being a disruptor. Things did not work out for him with the Oklahoma City Thunder, and his short-lived stint with the Rockets was an epic fail, leaving teams unwilling to touch Anthony with a 10-foot pole.

This does not appear to be the case for Nash, who believes Melo still has a lot to offer for any NBA team that may be willing to take on the risk he entails. As a matter of fact, Nash seems to hold Anthony in such high regard that he firmly believes the 6-foot-8 forward will someday join him in the Hall of Fame.
