Washington Wizards shooting guard Bradley Beal and Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert have been named the Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week, respectively, for Week 22 of the NBA season.

For the Wizards, Bradley Beal averaged 32.5 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 7.0 assists per game last week while leading Washington to a 3-1 mark. The All-Star guard shot 52.3 percent from the field, 52.5 percent from beyond the arc and 77.3 percent from the free-throw line.

Beal finished the week with back-to-back 40-point games. The Wizards defeated the Sacramento Kings, Orlando Magic and Memphis Grizzlies. Their one loss came to the Charlotte Hornets.

Meanwhile, Rudy Gobert was his usual dominant self on both sides of the ball for the Jazz. The 26-year-old put up 16.5 points, 15.5 rebounds and 2.3 blocks last week and shot 69.4 percent from the field.

Utah went 3-1. They beat the Phoenix Suns, Minnesota Timberwolves and Brooklyn Nets, and loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder. Gobert had a double-double in each game.

This is Gobert's first Player of the Week honor in his NBA career. Beal has now won it three times with the Wizards.

The Jazz are 40-29 on the season, which is good for seventh place in the Western Conference standings. The Wizards are 30-40, 11th place in the Eastern Conference standings.

Both of these players have been having huge seasons for their respective teams and are very deserving of these awards.
