The Chicago Bulls and Brooklyn Nets will matchup on Saturday evening in an Eastern Conference matchup. It's time to continue our NBA odds series with a Bulls-Nets prediction and pick.

The Bulls and Nets will play on Saturday as these two teams sit near the top of the Eastern Conference. Brooklyn beat the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday night and will be on a back-to-back. Kevin Durant scored 30 points to go along with ten rebounds and six assists in the win over Minnesota. James Harden had 20 points, nine assists and seven rebounds. The Nets have yet to put out an injury report, so it's possible they have some guys out as is customary for any team on the second night of a back-to-back. Nonetheless the Nets come in as home favorites over the Bulls for Saturday night's matchup in the Big Apple.

Why The Bulls Can Cover The Spread

The Bulls come in with the rest edge in this spot, as they were off on Friday night. Chicago has won three of their last four games and sits as the No. 2 seed in the East behind the Nets. A win for the Bulls would only inch them closer to the No. 1 seed as the Nets led them by 1.5 games in the standings heading into Saturday's matchup. Demar DeRozan and Zach LaVine will look to continue their hot starts to the season in this big matchup, as the Bulls will need all the offense they can get vs. a dangerous Nets attack. The Bulls enter play on Saturday with a +4.4 point differential, which ranks first in the East.

Chicago will need to bring a solid defensive effort in Brooklyn as they have struggled a bit on that end of the floor since center Nikola Vucevic returned to the lineup. The Bulls are a solid 8-4 on the road this season, and 15-8 vs. the spread overall. They should have a good chance to cover and/or win vs. the Nets on Saturday, especially with the Nets on the back-to-back.

Brooklyn won't release their full injury report until late in the day on Saturday on the heels of their win vs. the Timberwolves on Friday night. The Nets moved to 8-4 at home with the win, and they will look to further improve on their home record in this matchup with the Bulls. Durant and Harden figure likely to suit up as the Nets host the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference, but older guys like Lamarcus Aldridge, Patty Mills and Paul Millsap may be iffy for the second game of the back-to-back. Mills and Aldridge each played 34 minutes on Friday night.

Brooklyn is just 8-13-1 against the spread so far this season, and may be a risky play on the back-to-back. Wait until later in the day when the Nets injury report is a little more nailed down before placing any money on the Nets this evening.

Final Bulls-Nets Prediction & Pick

Take the Bulls and the points while you can get them. If the Nets rule out some of their veterans, or Durant/Harden, the line will move in the Bulls' direction. Brooklyn is an older team for the most part, so the youth of Chicago may come in handy vs. the Nets' tired legs on Saturday night.

Final Bulls-Nets Prediction & Pick: Bulls +3 (-110)
