The Bulls have struggled mightily as of late, losing four in a row, including a 118-112 loss at home to the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday night. Three of those four losses were by six points.

The 76ers are coming off a 99-82 road loss to the Miami Heat on Saturday. Joel Embiid led the team with 22 points but struggled from the field, shooting 4-for-15 with James Harden resting on the back-to-back.

Why The Bulls Could Cover The Spread

The Bulls have been contenders all season. Despite the four-game losing streak, they are currently still at 39-25, which is good enough for fourth place in the Eastern Conference. They are within an earshot of the top-seeded Miami Heat, as they stand three and a half games behind them, though they will need to turn things around to have a chance at a top-four seed.

DeMar DeRozan leads the Bulls in scoring, averaging 28.1 points per game. His scoring touch has helped prop the Bulls up at seventh in the league in scoring offense. The Bulls are also first in the NBA in field goal percentage, as well as first in 3-point percentage. This is a team that can score at will with DeRozan and Zach LaVine leading the way, while Nikola Vucevic is a beast on the boards with 11.5 per contest. Chicago also just brought in Tristan Thompson to help in the frontcourt, and he might see more minutes in this game with Vucevic questionable with a hamstring injury.

The Bulls have struggled a bit with Lonzo Ball and Alex Caruso out, and they have never defeated Joel Embiid in his career (0-3 this season). Still, Chicago has the talent to at least keep this game close, especially if Vucevic suits up.

Why The 76ers Could Cover The Spread

The 76ers stumbled through the start of the season, but they are now hitting their stride at the right time. They fortified their status as a contender by trading for All-Star James Harden. The 76ers currently come into this matchup at 39-24, which puts them at second in the Eastern Conference. They stand three games behind the Heat for the first seed.

Joel Embiid leads the 76ers in scoring at 29.5 points per game, a stat that is good enough for the best in the league. Embiid also is a menace on the boards, bringing home 11.2 rebounds per game, and he always gives the Bulls major fits.

The 76ers have an outstanding playmaker in Harden, who can distribute the ball and shoot the rock from anywhere on the floor. The addition of Harden gives the 76ers the playoff threat they have been craving for years, and his presence has helped Tyrese Maxey continue his breakout season in a big way.

With the Bulls still struggling with injuries and the 76ers in a great spot in terms of health, the home team has a major advantage in this area.

Final Bulls-76ers Prediction & Pick

The 76ers are not only playing better at the moment, but they have won all three matchups against the Bulls this season and are the healthier team. They are attempting to sweep the season series for the third season in a row while extending their winning streak against the Bulls to 11. Back the 76ers to win this game and cover the spread.

Final Bulls-76ers Prediction & Pick: 76ers -7.5 (-106)
