The Chicago Bulls will take on the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday night. It's time to continue our NBA odds series and make a Bulls-Bucks prediction and pick.

The first game between these teams was surprisingly close. Chicago hung around until the very end, but eventually a couple of bad possessions doomed them to a 93-86 loss. No one expected things to be that close, so the Bulls should be happy to build off of a surprisingly good game. Meanwhile, the Bucks have to be disappointed at how game one went. They were playing a Chicago team that is notoriously bad against playoff-caliber opponents, yet they were almost upset on their home court. A solid Game 1 set the stage for an even more competitive second matchup, so let's get into the pick.

Why The Bulls Could Cover The Spread

Chicago had a shockingly bad offensive game last time out. That performance is unlikely to repeat itself, as Chicago was one of the better offensive teams in the NBA throughout the regular season. While they only scored 111 points per game, the Bulls shot a ridiculous 47% from the field, including 36% from three-point range. Milwaukee hasn't been a great defensive team, as they allow their opponents to shoot 53% from inside the arc and 35% from three. The Bulls should be able to find some success on the offensive end in this contest.

The main reason the Bulls struggled offensively was the mediocre play of their star players. Zach LaVine, DeMar DeRozan, and Nikola Vucevic all played poorly, combining to shoot 30% from the field on 71 shot attempts. LaVine and Vucevic both went 2/10 from three, essentially crippling any chance the Bulls had at winning. Despite all of this, the Bulls remained within striking distance late into the fourth quarter. All of these guys should massively improve in Game 2, which should lead to a much better result for Chicago.

Why The Bucks Could Cover The Spread

The Bulls proved that they don't have a single answer for superstar forward Giannis Antetokounmpo in Game 1. Not many teams do, but Chicago struggled massively to slow him down in any capacity. Antetokounmpo dropped 27 points and 16 rebounds in only 34 minutes. The Bulls tried using forwards Patrick Williams and Javonte Green as primary defenders, but Antetokounmpo was able to use his size to dominate both matchups. Vucevic is a bad overall defender, and everyone else who plays significant minutes is just too small. Antetokounmpo will dominate this matchup again, and that could be enough to lead the Bucks to a cover.

Home court advantage will help the Bucks out in this game. Milwaukee was 27-14 on their home floor this season, one of the better home records in the NBA. Meanwhile, the Bulls struggled to play well on the road. Chicago earned a 19-22 record away from home, with many of those losses coming against subpar teams. Fiserv Forum will be completely filled once again, and that should help the Bucks defend their home court in this one.

Final Bulls-Bucks Prediction & Pick

The Bucks should cover comfortably here. Chicago was awful against good teams throughout the regular season, including losing four games to this Milwaukee team. The Bucks will defend their home court and take a commanding lead in this series. Lock them in and don't look back.

Final Pick: Milwaukee Bucks -10 (-110)
