NBA TV is slated to announce the 2017-18 NBA regular season schedule during the NBA Schedule Release Special tonight, Monday, Aug. 14, at 6 p.m. ET.

The show is set to unveil the entire regular season national television schedule, including the season’s most-anticipated games, to follow last Thursday’s release of the opening week and Christmas Day games.

The hosts of NBA Inside Stuff, Kristen Ledlow and Steve Smith will host the hour-long event, including other personalities from around the league — offering their take on the different marquee matchups and storylines for this upcoming season.

In addition to the one-hour special, NBA.com and the league app will post the entire 2017-18 schedule right as the release special gets underway for individual team fans.

With today’s release, front offices around the league will turn their focus to aligning traveling schedules, hotels, catering, home-and-away practices throughout the season, according to ESPN Insider Bobby Marks.

Players will have to coordinate community activities, a marketing calendar and fit in the mandatory meetings, making the end of August a soft line for all these issues to be addressed by players and teams.

The regular season will now get started in mid-October, making deadlines that much more important for each franchise.
