The San Antonio Spurs reportedly acquired Goran Dragic from the Toronto Raptors ahead of Thursday's trade deadline, but Dragic won't be staying with the Spurs, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. Dragic will negotiate a buyout with the Spurs and hit the market, with the Dallas Mavericks, Milwaukee Bucks, Chicago Bulls and Los Angeles Clippers noted as suitors.

As expected, Yahoo Sports' Chris Haynes reports the Mavs as the leader in the clubhouse for Dragic's services. Dragic has been linked to Dallas for a long time thanks to his ties to fellow Slovenian countryman Luka Doncic, and now it looks like he's going to wind up there.

Still, it seems there will be some competition for Goran Dragic's services, so we'll see if there's a surprise:

The veteran point guard was traded to the Raptors as part of the Kyle Lowry sign-and-trade with the Miami Heat. Dragic played just five games for Toronto before being taken out of the rotation as the team scoured the trade market for a deal. There was a rumor Thursday morning about a discussion with the Mavs on a deal involving Dragic and Kristaps Porzingis, but clearly nothing materialized there and the Raptors moved on to this deal with San Antonio.

Goran Dragic is 35 years and didn't look good in his limited time in Toronto, but he was still good with the Heat the last few seasons. Wherever he winds up, the hope is he can find some juice again to provide a spark off the bench. The Bucks, Bulls and Clippers could all use help in the backcourt right now.
