After a disappointing playoff run by Ben Simmons and the Philadephia 76ers, the young star has constantly seen his name swirling in NBA trade rumors this offseason.

Multiple teams have been rumored to be interested in Ben Simmons, with the Miami Heat, Toronto Raptors, and Washington Wizards currently viewed as the most likely landing spots.

Yet while Portland’s Damian Lillard and Washington’s Bradley Beal both appear to be in their respective holding patterns when it comes to possibly requesting a trade, it’s looking increasingly likely that Philadelphia’s Ben Simmons will be on the move. One source close to the situation handicapped Miami, Toronto and Washington as the most likely landing spots. The Wizards scenario, of course, would only take place if Beal wound up deciding that it was time for a new chapter outside of the nation’s capital. The moving parts, as you can see, are sometimes part of the same puzzle.

One recent report suggested the Raptors were the furthest along in Ben Simmons trade talks, though they reportedly recently shot down a trade proposal. The inclusion of the Heat here is somewhat strange given the awkward fit with Jimmy Butler. For the Wizards, it seems like this would only happen if Bradley Beal requests a trade.

It will be interesting to see in these coming days the trade offers that these teams mentioned above are going to pitch in for the young star. As of right now, it seems like Toronto would be the best bet, but you never know. Other teams could still get in the mix as well.

Wherever he winds up (assuming he's traded), Simmons will bring his playmaking skills and elite defending to his new team. If Ben Simmons' Sixers career is coming to an end, the three-time All-Star averaged 15.9 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 7.7 assists in 275 games for them.
