The Detroit Pistons are playing with a chip on their shoulder. By record, they are the worst team in the 2019 playoffs, and virtually nobody expects them to win their first round match-up against the top-seeded Milwaukee Bucks.

But early in Game 3, with Detroit already down 0-2 in the series, tensions between the two teams began to escalate.

Early in the possession, Bucks guard Sterling Brown appeared to collide with Pistons center Andre Drummond. Brown fell to the ground, and later in the play tried to shove Drummond while fighting for rebounding position. The big man pushed back, and the two had to be separated. They were charged with a double technical foul.

Drummond is known for playing tough defense. Perhaps this incident was driven by Detroit's frustration over their poor play in the series.

Brown, 24, is in his second year with the Bucks. In the regular season, the former second round pick averaged 6.4, 3.2 rebounds and 1.4 assists as a bench player. He's starting next to Eric Bledsoe in Mike Budenholzer's backcourt as normal starter Malcolm Brogdon is in the final stages of recovery from a partially torn plantar fascia.

Drummond is a proven talent. The 25-year-old averaged 17.3, 15.6 rebounds and 1.4 assists during the regular season. The two-time All-Star is one of Detroit's best players, and has shown it so far in the postseason. He posted a double-double in each of the team's Game 1 and Game 2 losses.

The Pistons have their work cut out for them. They trail the Bucks 67-54 at halftime. Falling behind 0-3 could mean an early playoff exit for Detroit.
