Frenchman Tony Parker got a tribute video in Paris before the Milwaukee Bucks and Charlotte Hornets tipped off:

Tony Parker played with the Charlotte Hornets last season, putting up 9.5 points, 1.5 rebounds and 3.7 assists in 56 regular season games. The 37-year-old, who will easily go down as one of the best international players of all time, retired from the NBA this past summer.

Parker spent the first 17 years of his NBA career with the San Antonio Spurs and became a legend. The guard was a six-time All-Star in San Antonio, won four NBA championships and was the 2007 Finals MVP when the team defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers in four games.

Parker played in 1,198 games with the Spurs. He finished his San Antonio career with averages of 15.8 points, 2.8 rebounds and 5.7 assists. He also had plenty of success playing for France in international play, winning gold at EuroBasket in 2013.

San Antonio’s core of Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, Manu Ginobili and Gregg Popovich won four championships together. They will forever be linked and will all be in the Hall of Fame one day.

Parker got his No. 9 jersey retired by the Spurs earlier this season. He said it was a “surreal” moment because he never thought he would have an experience like that growing up outside of the United States.

It will be interesting to see who the presenter is for Tony Parker when he gets voted into the NBA Hall of Fame one day. One would assume it will be someone from the Spurs organization.
