Next season may still be a few weeks away, and the window for fans to vote for the All-Star starters will not start until December, but the Atlanta Hawks have already started campaigning for one of their players to be included in the annual event.
Their Twitter account recently posted a photo of their rookie, John Collins, together with Stephen Curry, Kyrie Irving, LeBron James and Anthony Davis, giving their fans the idea that he could be teammates with them during the exhibition game in February, if he'll receive enough votes. It goes to show how highly they think of him, as well as how confident they are that he will have a very good first season in the NBA.

Collins was the 19th overall pick in last June's draft, following his impressive two-year stint at Wake Forest, where he averaged 19.2 points, 9.8 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game in his sophomore year. With the Hawks in rebuild mode, he is expected to be one of their cornerstones for the years to come, and will give them a solid inside presence, and a lot of versatility with his ability to play multiple positions.
Standing at 6-foot-10, Collins can play both the power forward and center positions, which will allow head coach Mike Budenholzer to field in different combinations, depending on matchups. If the 20-year-old will be able to live up to expectations, not only will he give the Hawks a chance to surprise many by winning a lot of games, but he could also emerge as a potential All-Star candidate, which is a huge feat for rookies.
