The Atlanta Hawks were able to get a big win against the Los Angeles Lakers without four of their starters, and it was with the help of players like Dyson Daniels, Mouhamed Gueye, and Asa Newell that propelled them to victory. The Hawks also got some help from their fans throughout the game, as they tried to make life hard for Luka Doncic in a hostile environment.

When Doncic went to the free-throw line, Hawks fans started to chant Nico Harrison's name, and later on, chanted “Mavericks reject.” It worked both times in the Hawks' favor, as Doncic split his free throws twice when he went to the line.

There's no doubt that Doncic gets these chants wherever he goes on the road, and it wouldn't be a surprise if he actually heard them. Some players are so focused on the game that they don't hear much of the crowd noise, but Doncic loves to play in the fans' favor at times, so he has to hear them.

It's hard to see if Nico Harrison chants actually bother him, especially looking at the state of the Dallas Mavericks since they traded him. Doncic is in a better situation with the Lakers, and they're one of the better teams in the Western Conference to start the season.

For one night, it seemed like it could've gotten to him, and the Hawks appreciate their fans for what they do.

Outside of the chants, the Hawks played a good game on both sides of the ball, finding the open man on offense while getting in transition, and limiting Doncic from controlling the pace for the Lakers. Midway through the third quarter, the Hawks went on a big run and were up by as much as 28 points. From there, head coach JJ Redick took Doncic out for the remainder of the game.
