Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young reached another personal milestone on Friday, notching his 400th career 3-pointer during his team's 116-100 win over the Washington Wizards at Capital One Arena. It took the 22-year-old shooter just 159 career games to reach that mark.

Per ESPN Stats & Info, Young now holds the record for the fewest games to reach 400 threes in NBA history, dating back to the start of the 3-point era in the 1979-80 season.

Even before he reached the NBA, one of Young's biggest strengths was his ability to knock down the deep ball. Some pundits questioned if the 6-foot-1 guard can still shoot at the same high rate once he gets to the pros, and Young definitely put a rest to those concerns.

He fired a game-best 41 points against the Wizards on Friday, while shooting 10of-18 from the field and going 5-for-8 from past the arc. After a rough shooting stretch last week looks like the one-time All-Star has regained his groove once more.

Trae Young still has a long way to go to even be in the conversation for the all-time greatest 3-point shooters in history. But it is worth noting that he is just in his third year in the NBA, giving him more opportunities to rise up the ranks in the coming seasons. Earlier this month, we've seen Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry surpass Reggie Miller for second all-time in 3-point makes.

It remains unclear if the Hawks talent will one day join that elite club, but he does have a chance if he keeps making 3-pointers at this rate.
