Despite losing to the Miami Heat in blowout fashion, Trae Young is not worried about the Atlanta Hawks' chances in the playoffs. It is a series, after all, and he reminded everyone that Game 1 is just that: one game.
Young had a rather ugly showing in the contest, going 1-of-12 from the field for eight points. He also had six turnovers in what can easily be said as one of the worst performances of his young career.
Of course the 115-91 blowout and Young's disappointing display sparked concerns about the Hawks' ability to win the series. There is very little room for error in the postseason, and Atlanta couldn't have an uglier start than what they had on Sunday.
Young, however, emphasized that the Hawks still have a chance to bounce back and it's too early to panic.

If there is one thing the Hawks have proven time and time again, it's to never count them out in a playoff series. They are one year removed from their Eastern Conference Finals appearance, and it is worth noting that they made the 2022 postseason after finishing as the ninth seed–taking down the Cleveland Cavaliers in the play-in tournament.
Sure enough, Sunday's result is not an encouraging sign. It also made it clear that Trae Young and the rest of the Hawks need to make some adjustments to make sure the likes of Duncan Robinson, Jimmy Butler and more won't have their way on the offensive end.
Nonetheless, there is no doubt the Hawks have all the tools to compete against the Heat and make life hard for them. Game 1 could simply be an anomaly, though Atlanta has to do something in Game 2 to prove that.
