The Atlanta Hawks have a stellar young center in John Collins, but the Wake Forest product has had limited opportunities playing alongside Dewayne Dedmon and Mike Muscala. Well, the big man has gotten increased playing time as the season has gone on and the Hawks deciding to develop their young players.

Collins came into tonight's game against the Boston Celtics as one of the leaders in field goal percentage, but put on a shot-blocking display. With forward Abdel Nader going into the paint for a layup attempt on a fast-break opportunity, Collins came out of nowhere to reject his shot it into the ninth or 10th row, literally!

10.6 points, 7.0 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 0.6 steals, and 1.1 blocks per game on 59.6 percent shooting in his first NBA season. Should the Hawks decide to trade away or release some of their veteran big men, Collins will surely be in line for a huge opportunity as Atlanta's big man of the future.
