It has become a common occurrence for players to critique their NBA 2K ratings as they are released to the public. Rookies in particular often take issue with a rating that they believe is too low.
Already, we have seen the release of three rookie ratings in Marvin Bagley (78), DeAndre Ayton, (79) and Luka Doncic (79). Bagley has already taken issue with his.
Trae Young is the next rookie to have his rating released, and it's fair to say that the Atlanta Hawks guard is none too pleased with it.
My whole life I’ve been underrated….

The sharpshooter out of Oklahoma might have a point. He posted ridiculous numbers in his one and only college season, posting averages of 27.4 points and 8.7 assists per game along with 36 percent shooting from deep.

He astounded crowds with his court vision and the ability to drain shots from anywhere inside the half court line, drawing comparisons to Stephen Curry.
However, just like when Curry was drafted, Young has been dogged by questions about his athleticism and size. Young stands 6-foot-2 in an era where it is becoming increasingly frequent to see ball-handlers break 6-foot-4, and has difficulty finishing at this stage in his career.
During the summer league, he showed flashes of brilliance but also had games where it seemed he couldn't buy a basket. This frustrating inconsistency certainly played a part in his rating.
While Young undeniably has a special talent for shooting the ball, there are haters out there who would agree with the rating and even think it should be lower. By his response, Young is ready to face these expectations head-on.
