The Boston Celtics‘ title hopes now lie on the shoulders of Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum.

No more Kemba Walker. The Kyrie Irving ship has sailed away a long time ago. Al Horford is no longer the star that he was years back.

Brown and Tatum have managed to grow alongside each other, despite playing the wing spots at the same time. The chemistry between the Celtics' two stars is airtight. That's why Brown isn't subscribing to the idea that one of them is less than the other.

“I think the media likes to dichotomize things and put one thing against the other. Like there has to be a Batman and a Robin – we're just two guys who can hoop. The reality is two guys that can hoop can coexist. The media wants to sometimes write the story that pulls us apart. But we talk a lot. We won't let it bother us.”

Celtics fans are fortunate to have level-headed stars leading the way for their team. Two young and talented players could have easily grown further apart as they yearn to establish their footing in the league. Not Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum, though.

The Celtics have their work cut out for them in the 2021-22 season. The Brooklyn Nets and Miami Heat added more firepower. The Milwaukee Bucks remain intact. The Chicago Bulls infused themselves with more talent.

Boston's offseason has been fairly quiet. The hope is another year of improvement from the Celtics' stars would be enough to launch them back to, at least, contender status.
