Not only did Boston Celtics swingman Jaylen Brown get better this season, but he also got richer. According to ESPN’s Bobby Marks, Brown will receive a bonus of $1,339,286 for being included in this year’s All-Star game and a $446,429 bonus for the games he has played–a mark he achieved on Sunday against the Portland Trail Blazers.
It’s certainly great to see Brown being rewarded like this after he put in all the work.
Jaylen Brown has now played in 58 games this season. As a result, Brown will now receive a bonus of $1,339,286 for being selected to the All-Star game and a $446,429 bonus for games played. The Celtics will now have a $26,758,928 cap hit for the 2021-22 season.

Jaylen Brown has been huge for the Celtics this season, averaging 24.8 points, 5.9 rebounds and 3.4 assists. He has become Jayson Tatum’s co-star and a reliable scorer for the Beantown team. He made his first All-Star game this season after several outstanding performances this year.

Boston has had an up-and-down season so far. Prior to Sunday's showdown, they were in sixth place in the Eastern Conference standings. Their place in the standings this season could be huge for them in the playoffs since it will determine how far they could potentially go.
Come playoff time, the Celtics need all they can get from Brown and Tatum. They’re one of the teams this season that has strongly been affected by COVID-19; hence why they may have not started the campaign so well. But for them to gain momentum in the next coming days, Brown and Tatum need to play like the superstars they are.
