Jayson Tatum is absolutely hyped for his teammate Marcus Smart, who just signed a massive four-year, $77 million extension with the Boston Celtics.

After seeing the news of the deal, Tatum took to Twitter to congratulate Smart and express how ecstatic he is to be able to play alongside the veteran for at least four more years.

Smart saw the tweet and responded, showing love for Tatum. He then went on to highlight that it's time for them to get to work and reach the NBA Finals that has eluded them over the past few years.

The Celtics certainly value Marcus Smart highly. Even though their front office changed this offseason with Danny Ainge stepping down and Brad Stevens being promoted as president, that view on Smart hasn't been affected. While there have been talks in the past that the team would trade him than extend him, it has been proven wrong with the large deal that will pay him a little over $19 million per year.

Smart, however, is undoubtedly a critical part of the Celtics' core and culture. And at just 27 years old, his deal means the Beantown team can get the most out of him in his prime years.

Jayson Tatum, obviously, loved the deal. After all, the team got to keep their leader, heart and soul for a long time.
