Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum has had a rookie season filled with memories, but one that will be engraved in his mind forever is a juicy tomahawk slam over LeBron James in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

“It was a great feeling, obviously one of the best players in the world,” Jayson Tatum said, according to Creve Coeur of KMOX St. Louis Radio. “I was in my first year and to be able to dunk on LeBron, in the playoffs, Game 7, on national T.V., is something I'll always remember.”

Tatum had a veteran's reaction to the dunk after crucifying James in the lane, looking for his eye contact and bumping his chest into him to let him know what just took place while his teammates popped off with emotion.

While the St. Louis native got to start in the season-opener, as well as take on the role of leading scorer due to the absence of Kyrie Irving, this one was a moment that solidified that he wasn't just one of the best rookies in recent memory, but a star in the making.

Not only was Tatum willing to go right at James, but he was unafraid to follow the emphatic slam with some filth of his own — one that was ultimately soured by a heartbreaking loss that kept him short of the NBA Finals.
