The Brooklyn Nets lost head coach Steve Nash on Monday after the 48-year-old shot-caller was forced to enter the league's health and safety protocols.  Brooklyn has lost all three games in Nash's absence and it is clear at this point that they need him back on the sidelines as soon as possible.

The Nets have now received some tremendous news ahead of Sunday's marquee matchup against the Boston Celtics. Multiple sources have already confirmed that Nash has cleared the league's protocols and is set to coach his team on Sunday:

This is a huge development for the Nets who are in the midst of an all-out free fall. Brooklyn marked a huge win against the defending champs Milwaukee Bucks just after the All-Star break, which has arguably been the biggest highlight of their season over the past month or so. Over the past 20 games, the Nets have lost no less than 16 games over that stretch.

The silver lining for them is that Brooklyn just got Kevin Durant back. On Sunday against Boston, KD is set to take part in his second game since returning from an MCL sprain. Things are finally looking up for the Nets right now and it could not have come in a more opportune time.
