Though Blake Griffin has to wait for his Brooklyn Nets debut, he's definitely making his presence felt even if he's stuck on the bench. On Thursday, the six-time All-Star made his first game appearance with the Nets in street clothes that were heck impressive. At least if you ask coach Steve Nash and his grandmother.

After their decisive 120-109 win over the Boston Celtics, Nash was asked about his thoughts on Griffin and the two-time MVP responded with a lot of candor (via Nets Videos).

“As my nan from London would've said, he had a lovely jumper on. That's British for ‘sweater.'  He came with a dope sweater.”

Try to catch Griffin celebrating on the bench after a dagger from Kyrie Irving. It won't be hard to spot the 31-year-old with his interesting Nets debut fit.

Colorful sweaters aside, Nash is definitely excited for what Griffin could bring. The highly athletic forward is now the fourth All-Star in the Nets roster headlined by former MVPs Kevin Durant and James Harden plus an NBA champion in Irving.

“I just think Blake's a high IQ (guy), great teammate, experienced. Everyone respects him so his presence is felt and we're just happy to have him.”

Griffin has been around the NBA for quite some time now and he's adding some much-needed depth to the rather top-heavy Nets lineup. Nash is opting to use Griffin off the bench which should help spread the wealth and boost the reserve unit. Though his numbers have been down and he's been hampered by a string of injuries, Blake Griffin is still one heck of an athlete and his arrival definitely tips the weighing scale to the Nets' favor.
