The Brooklyn Nets are actually winning games!

For the first time in six years, the Nets have put together a seven-game winning streak as a result of their victory over the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday night:

Are the Nets finally climbing out of the doldrums?

It is way too early to jump to that conclusion, as Brooklyn still has quite a long way to go before it can call itself a legitimately good team, but the Nets have definitely come a long way since the dark days of watching the Boston Celtics use all of their top-five draft picks.

It's not like Brooklyn has been beating up on cupcakes during this surge, either.

Yes, Wednesday night's win came over the Bulls, but the Nets have also beaten the Toronto Raptors, Philadelphia 76ers and Los Angeles Lakers during this streak.

What's more, they are averaging 117.9 points per game over this span in spite of their modest 96-point effort against Chicago.

With the win over the Bulls, the Nets improved to 15-18 on the year and are firmly in the Eastern Conference playoff picture. They are also doing all of this without Caris LeVert, which is even more impressive.

Brooklyn has not made the postseason since 2015, when it lost in the first round. Since then, the Nets have failed to win 30 games in any one season, topping out at 28 victories last year.

It seems relatively safe to say that Brooklyn will reach 30 wins this season.

The Nets will play host to the Indiana Pacers on Friday evening, which will be a tough challenge for the surging squad.
