Brooklyn Nets small forward Caris LeVert says his recovery from a dislocated right foot was “one of the toughest things I had to go through.”

LeVert suffered the injury on Nov. 12, 2018 against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Fortunately, LeVert didn't require surgery and returned to the Nets lineup in February. He finished the regular season with averages of 13.7 points, 3.8 rebounds and 3.9 assists in 40 games.

LeVert showed the NBA world he was completely back from the injury in the 2019 postseason. The swingman put up 21.0 points per game in the Nets' five-game playoff series against the Philadelphia 76ers. Even though Brooklyn lost, LeVert was happy to showcase his skills on the NBA's brightest stage.

“It was actually one of the toughest things I had to go through,” LeVert said on ESPN's The Jump. “I think mentally it was tougher than physically. Just with getting my mind right. But I feel great. I'm excited for next season.”

It's pretty easy to see why Caris LeVert is excited for next season. The Nets signed Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, DeAndre Jordan, Garrett Temple and Wilson Chandler in free agency this summer.

Even though Durant is expected to miss the entire 2019-20 season recovering from his Achilles tear, Brooklyn is still going to make a lot of noise with Irving, Jordan, LeVert, Spencer Dinwiddie, Jarrett Allen and Joe Harris leading the charge.
