The Brooklyn Nets snapped a three-game losing streak with Monday night's impressive 127-88 victory over the Dallas Mavericks. Six Nets recorded double-digit scoring figures, including D'Angelo Russell.

Russell logged 22 minutes in Monday's victory, racking up 13 points on 6-of-13 shooting from the field (1-of-6 from beyond the arc), 11 assists, two rebounds and two steals.

During his post-game media availability, Russell noted that the Nets needed a win:

“This was definitely a game for us to build off of,” D'Angelo Russell told ESPN. “Coming into this one, we knew we had to get it. We know we've got a tough stretch coming up so we need all the confidence we can get.”

The Nets, who are now tied for 6th in the Eastern Conference, were in control for much of Monday's game. In fact, Brooklyn led Dallas by as many as 44 points.

“It was ugly from start to finish,” Mavericks head coach Rick Carlisle said. “When you lose every quarter in an NBA game, you certainly haven't done what you needed to do, so very disappointing night.”

Russell clocked out for the night with roughly eight minutes remaining in the fourth quarter. At that time, the Nets were leading by 38 points.

Prior to his big night against the Mavs, Russell noted that he is going after the NBA's Most Improved Player Award:

“I'm gonna win that s–t,” Russell told SNY. “Watch. Put it on record. I'm gonna win it.”

In 65 appearances with the Nets this season (all starts), Russell has posted averages of 20.4 points on 43.6 percent shooting from the field (36.6 percent from beyond the arc), 6.8 assists, 3.6 rebounds and 1.1 steals in 30 minutes per outing.
