Brooklyn native Bobby Shmurda continues to enjoy his freedom as he watched his hometown Nets team take on the New York Knicks on Monday night. After seeing good basketball action from a Barclays Center VIP suite, the rapper eventually got his hands on a signed, game-worn jersey from Nets star James Harden, per TMZ Sports.
On the floor, the 2018 MVP balled out with 21 points, 15 rebounds, and 15 assists, while Kyrie Irving topped the team in scoring with 34 points en route to a 117-112 victory.

Back in December 2014, he was arrested by the New York City Police and charged with murder and possession of weapons. Two years later, Shmurda pleaded guilty to the allegations and received a seven-year jail sentence. It was eventually lowered down to five years after he was credited for the two years that he spent while awaiting the trial of his case.
Bobby Shmurda is definitely making the most out of his time now that he's a free man. After being away for so long from the music scene, hip-hop fans are already raring for the drop of his next album. Hopefully, his comeback will be as good as the Nets' successful emergence on the floor this season. Brooklyn is now 27-13 on the season and on a huge hot streak, even with Kevin Durant still sidelined.
