Jarrett Allen and other members of the Brooklyn Nets participated in informal workouts in Los Angeles, which were organized by All-Star point guard Kyrie Irving.

While Allen didn't get to interact with Irving that much in LA, the Nets center says Kyrie is a “good guy and ready to be a Net.”

“I didn’t get to interact with him too much cause we were all doing our own thing after the workouts,” Allen said, via Stefan Bondy of The New York Daily News. “But from what I could tell, hard worker, good guy and ready to be a Net.”

After everything that happened with Kyrie Irving on the Boston Celtics last season, all eyes are going to be on Uncle Drew in 2019-20 as he embarks on this new chapter of his NBA career with the Nets.

The Celtics media pegged Irving as a toxic player who rubbed players on the team the wrong way. As a result, some around the league didn’t like the Nets’ decision to sign Irving to a four-year deal this summer despite how talented of a player Kyrie is.

However, Irving is getting a fresh start with the Nets, the team he grew up rooting for. Brooklyn won't be title contenders next season since two-time Finals MVP Kevin Durant will likely miss the entire season recovering from his Achilles tear.

The best thing for Irving to do is just play basketball the right way and avoid saying anything controversial to the media.
