The Brooklyn Nets and Philadelphia 76ers are preparing for one of the most anticipated showdowns of the season. While Ben Simmons' return to Philly after being traded by the Sixers to the Nets is the main headline, the battle between Joel Embiid and Kevin Durant will dominate the on-court action.

Both Embiid and Durant are among the two most unique stars in the league. They each possess towering heights and guard-like skills that make them among the most unguardable players in recent memory, if not all of basketball history.

Earlier in the season, Embiid dropped 50 points and said that his game has elements of a few basketball legends: Shaquille O'Neal, Kobe Byrant and Michael Jordan. Durant agrees with his assessment.

The Sixers and Nets are facing off tonight with a lot of emotion between them. Simmons' return to the Sixers arena (but not the court, as he remains sidelined with back issues) will receive a lot of attention. But when the game is on, Durant and Embiid will be going back and forth in a battle between giants.

Durant and the Nets are still just eighth in the Eastern Conference while the Sixers are third. They have yet to lose when James Harden plays. Brooklyn spoiling that would make for a statement win, especially because of their recent struggles. Stopping Embiid has been a nearly impossible task for every team this season. But the same can be said about Durant, who has only been slowed down by injury.
