Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant doesn't seem to be too impressed about reaching 25,000 points. That or he's just not in jovial mood after losing to the Boston Celtics.
On Sunday in their showdown with the Celtics at TD Garden, Durant became just the 23rd player in NBA history to reach 25,000 points after exploding for 37 points in the contest. He is also now one of only three active players to reach the mark, with LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony being the other two.
In his postgame presser, Durant said it is a “pretty cool” feat considering the few great players who have done it before him. However, he pointed out he could have been at 30,000 points now had he not missed a full season and half.

It's easy to see why Kevin Durant couldn't smile despite accomplishing the feat. It would have been different had they won the contest, but they didn't as they lost their fourth straight and dropped to ninth in the Eastern Conference standings.
Durant knows it's not the time to celebrate individual accomplishments, with the Nets facing a real threat of missing the postseason with the way they are playing.
Nonetheless, if there is one thing the game proves, it's the fact that Durant is still the usual incredible scorer that he is, and the Nets can lean on him to step up further as he tries to bring the Larry O'Brien trophy to Brooklyn.
