Kevin Durant and Draymond Green sat down for a tell-all of sorts on Bleacher Report's “Chips” show on Wednesday. The now Brooklyn Nets superstar revealed a whole lot during their conversation, including why he believes there is so much hate from others towards Kyrie Irving.
"I just think people don't like Kyrie because he wanted to leave Cleveland and he wanted to leave Boston…I don't think it's any deeper than that."

Irving has been the center for a lot of scrutiny in recent seasons with some of the most recent instances involving his refusal to speak with the media at the beginning of last season and him missing games during the season for reasons some didn't agree with.

KD backed up his Nets teammate and kept it simple when explaining it from his vantage point. He believes the hate for Kyrie simply comes from him not wanting to be in Cleveland when he was with the Cavaliers and not wanting to be in Boston when he was with the Celtics. Many clearly weren't happy with those outcomes but there tends to be more to it.
Irving hasn't helped matters necessarily. After the Nets took out the Celtics in the postseason this past season, Irving stomped on the C's logo at half-court before making his way off the floor. It fired up a lot of the Boston faithful.
Durant clearly has his teammates back and he's defended Irving at all turns since the two joined forces in Brooklyn with the Nets. The next step is trying to win a championship which will require their big three of Durant, Irving and James Harden to remain healthy next year.
