The Brooklyn Nets went to work again on Tuesday night, destroying the Boston Celtics 130-108. It was another very convincing win, with Kevin Durant dropping a team-high 26 points.
But one of the bright spots in Game 2 was actually a role player outside of the Big 3 in Joe Harris. Durant spoke on his impact postgame and how he is a crucial piece to getting the entire Nets offense running, via SNY:
“When Joe gets it going like that, that unlocks our whole team,” Durant said. “But we know that Joe can run off nine-to-12 points at any given moment, so we’ve got to continue to look for him.”
Harris was in fact on fire. The Nets swingman collected 25 points while draining seven triples, which tied a franchise record in the playoffs. Even more impressive, six of his threes came in the first half.

KD, Irving, and Harden combined for 61 points, but they did a tremendous job of finding Harris specifically for open looks. Kyrie also acknowledged how the Nets superstar trio was able to get their shooters involved.
“Early in the game you could see that us driving the basketball, collapsing the defense, we were going to get a few guys open shots. Joe happened to be the recipient of a few of those early in the game. Created separation, and then we were able to pace on both ends of the floor after we got it going offensively.
Harris led the NBA in 2020/21 with a brilliant 47.5% clip from downtown and has shot 43.8% for his career. Undoubtedly, he's going to be a key piece of this Nets team as they look to win a championship.
