Although he has said that his decision to join the Brooklyn Nets this offseason was a relatively easy one, two-time champion NBA Kevin Durant noted that he considered other teams, including the Golden State Warriors, L.A. Clippers and New York Knicks.
In the end, though, the Durantula says he just wanted to be in Brooklyn:
“I thought about it for a couple seconds and see how my life would look in all of those places for a minute, but ultimately I wanted to be here,” Durant told Mike Vorkunov of The Athletic during Friday's media availability.
How seriously did Kevin Durant consider the Clippers, Warriors, and Knicks?

Though his move to Brooklyn made headlines across the globe, Durant is expected to miss most (if not all) of this season as he continues to recover from the Achilles injury he suffered in Game 5 of the 2019 NBA Finals. For now, he remains without an official timetable.
“With Kevin, I think what we're going to say is the expectations are that he will be out for the year,” Nets general manager Sean Marks told CBS Sports earlier this week. “We're not going to plan on him playing.”
The Nets finished the 2018-19 regular season campaign with a 42-40 overall record, which earned the team a No. 6 seed in the Eastern Conference Playoffs. Unfortunately, though, Brooklyn was defeated by the Philadelphia 76ers in the opening round, 4-1.
