The Brooklyn Nets no longer have former MVP James Harden in their backcourt, but Kyrie Irving reminded everyone on Tuesday night that he's a pretty decent guard too.

The 7-time All-Star poured in 50 points in what was an incredible display of efficiency that got him in the NBA history books. After the game, Kyrie Irving was asked on James Harden's departure from Brooklyn. The Nets star spoke candidly on the subject.

Via ESPN's Nick Friedell:

“Everybody has their own visions starting off their careers and ending their careers,” said Irving on James Harden's exit from the Nets. “If that's what James wanted then I respect his decision and that's just what it is. I wish him nothing but peace and love. We have a great friendship, but it didn't work out.”

If there was one thing Kyrie Irving would have wanted from James Harden, it's the he vocalized his intentions and inner desires more before making things irreparable.

“I wish things could have been communicated better for all of us as men, but hey, no hard feelings here with me or anyone else.”

Just as James Harden did towards the final weeks of his time with the Houston Rockets, the Beard seemed to let his uninspired play do the talking. He wanted out of Brooklyn but clearly didn't have an open line of communication with Kyrie Irving. However, it all worked out for him in the end as he's currently having the time of his life with the Philadelphia 76ers.
