The basketball world was left in awe after Kyrie Irving came out with a 60-point masterpiece against the Orlando Magic on Tuesday night. Irving led the Brooklyn Nets to a 150-108 blowout win behind an epic career-high performance.
Even Los Angeles Lakers legend Magic Johnson could not help but react to Irving's jaw-dropping performance. Johnson took to Twitter to express just how impressed he has been with Irving while also dropping a truth bomb regarding New York's rather contentious vaccine mandate:
Kyrie Irving put on a dazzling show against Orlando tonight scoring 60 points! 🔥🤯 I sure hope the vaccine mandate ends in NYC in time for the Playoffs so we can watch him play in every Playoff game. He is unreal!!

Before anything else, you have to note that it's not very often that Magic Johnson makes use of emojis in his tweets. Well, he was so blown away by Irving that he had two use two emojis. Imagine that.
Much has been made about New York's private sector mandate that prevents Irving from playing in home games for the Nets. It's been a polarizing issue, to say the least, but it is clear that Magic is in favor of the mandate rollback. At the end of the day, Magic Johnson is a fan of the sport and he just wants to see the best players compete for the biggest prize there is. Clearly, the Lakers icon considers Kyrie Irving to be in that mold.
