The Brooklyn Nets are awaiting to see who they will play in round one of the NBA Playoffs. While they wait, apparently New York Mayor Bill De Blasio isn't hesitating on his support of the team.

This is one of those images that is so hard to believe it isn't photoshopped, that it must be checked over and over and over again to verify that it is indeed real. So, brace yourselves.

It looks fake. It's so hilariously cringe worthy that the first thought is it can't possible be real. But it is.

That's New York Mayor Bill De Blasio showing his support of the Brooklyn Nets. If you're the Nets, there's no way you think this is awesome, right?

It follows up a presser from a week ago when De Blasio was plowing through some Shake Shack in order to try and urge people to go get vaccinated.

It's unsure whether he has ceased caring and is just doing things his way or if this is all part of some elaborate plan. Regardless, De Blasio in a Nets uniform and hat with the dress shirt on the outside is not the look.

Sometimes you'll see the jersey over the dress shirt look from people and even that is better than what De Blasio is displaying in this Nets jersey.

Perhaps a tip of the cap is deserved for the effort made on this one? That seems like a stretch, though. This is the old guy trying to blend in with the new age without realizing the glory days are far behind him.

It's a tough look for De Blasio and perhaps even tougher for Nets fans to digest that this is how the New York Mayor appeared on Tuesday for a presser. Regardless, it's a bold move that not many would shoot the shot on.
