Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant put on a show a few nights ago, scoring 34 points to lead his shorthanded squad past the Toronto Raptors in overtime. Durant's performance prompted a tweet from FS1 debate show co-host Skip Bayless, who claimed that the Nets star was the best player on the planet, insulting LeBron James in the process. Durant then savagely dissed Bayless, to which Bayless responded to during Thursday morning's show.

Skip Bayless says he isn't falling for Kevin Durant's tactics. Bayless claims that Durant creates and invents perceived beef with media members and others in order to motivate himself, a quality of the Nets star that he compared to the great Michael Jordan.
Article Continues BelowOf course, Durant's travels on social media are well-documented, from the savage burns of fans to the burner accounts that he himself utilized to clap back at his own haters. Bayless mentioned this is what makes the Nets star so strange off the court, though he said that it works for him- it drives him.
Bayless basically went on to say how he's been a Durant superfan since the NBA star's days at Texas. It sounds like Bayless loves Durant, but Durant doesn't have a lot of love for Bayless. After all, this isn't the first time that Durant has come for Bayless.
Bayless could be right in that things like this motivate Durant but either way, it certainly sounds like Skip Bayless won't be getting a holidays card from Nets star Kevin Durant.
