Blake Griffin is still unavailable to play for the Brooklyn Nets, but the long wait could be over soon.
According to Steve Nash, per Malika Andrews of ESPN, Griffin is getting closer to making his debut for the Nets. The first-year coach also noted that the former Detroit Pistons forward is looking “really, really good” as they ramp him up to prepare for the remainder of the season.

Blake Griffin joined the Nets after completing his buyout with the Pistons. However, he is still unable to suit up for the team after being sidelined for more than a month when he was in Detroit. He last played on Feb. 12 before the team decided to shut him down in search for a trade partner.
Article Continues BelowGiven his lack of action ever since then, it's only understandable for the Nets to take a precaution and make sure he is in the right condition to play again. Besides, they cannot afford another long-term injury to a player they believe is vital in their quest for a championship this 2020-21 season.
Not to mention that Kevin Durant remains out for the Nets as he recovers from hamstring injury.
With that said, the priority for Brooklyn is to make sure all their guys are healthy and far from injury when they enter the playoffs. The Nets are standing atop the Eastern Conference tied with the Philadelphia 76ers in their win-loss record, so they can definitely take their time with the recovery of their key players.
